Fancy a Beach Wedding?

Having a beach wedding used to something that people only dreamed about but now it is one of the most popular types of weddings here in New Zealand.

Beautiful Waiheke Island off the coast of Auckland (35 minute ferry ride) is a favourite destination for many weddings. There are approximately around 600 weddings a year on Waiheke, so suffice it to say there are clearly no shortage of beautiful spots on the island. I know this to be the case as I am lucky enough to live here with my beautiful children and work as a marriage celebrant.

I regularly have couples emailing me from all over the world asking if I can help them have a simple but beautiful wedding on a beach and the answer is YES! Beach weddings can range from incredibly simple with a handful of family and friends to 80 people seated with flowers, archways and musicians. In essence you can make a beach wedding be anything you wish. However, the one thing that won't change is the stunning backdrop of the Haruki Gulf.
